8/13/2014 0 Comments From The ArchivesWe came across this great old aerial shot recently and it reminded us that we are going to look to add a lot more old photos to the web site galleries over the next few months. While there are plenty in the archives it would be great if old boys could send in some of their old snaps to be added to the official records as per Bill Lynch's Archive. Just email your snaps using this link - old boys photos.

8/12/2014 0 Comments The Principal ShotThe three photos above were taken by our Principal Martin Chamberlain at the weekend. A glorious Taranaki day for a pretty good game of footy.
Old Boys may also be amazed to hear that the Taranaki Secondary School Rugby Team was announced yesterday and it contains 15 FDMC players and 4 NPBHS players. Not something that has ever happened before. 8/8/2014 0 Comments Oh That Chicken!
8/7/2014 0 Comments Down But Not OutThere was a bit of depression in the aftermath of the 1st XV's loss to PNBHS on Tuesday but the boys have been cheered by the news that they will get to play Lindersfarne College in the semi final of the Central North Island competition. It is a chance to show their true abilities after not meeting their normal standards last time they played them. If successful it may well set up another "get square" game against St Paul's in the final.
Kick off at 12 at FDMC this Saturday. 8/6/2014 1 Comment The MinstrelWe had a visit today from an old boy of the College one Mark de Lacy. Mark was giving a performance to the Year 7 and 8 students based around the Take a Kid Fishing trust. His performance was very well received and he was able to share morning tea with the staff afterwards.
Mark still has very fond memories of his time at FDMC in the late 60's and has since gone on to carve out a career as a performer and presenter under the guise of The Minstrel. You can get a feel for his full range of talents at his web site - www.theminstrel.co.nz. 8/4/2014 0 Comments Just Another ChallengeThe 1st XV are pictured above laying down a challenge to the St Paul's 1st XV. It was a challenge that they were up to running out the winners by 24 to 13 and we now hope to earn the right to play them again in the CNI Final.
It was great to see a few old boys from the Hamilton region attend the game. Peter Kelly was there but a bit conflicted as his boys are St Paul's students. Also in attendance was old boy Bernard Novack who always shows an interest in what is going on with his old school. Tomorrow sees the 1st XV take on the might of PNBHS in the National Knock Out Competition - all old boys are welcome to show their support. Kick off at 12.45 at PNBHS. 8/1/2014 0 Comments Well Done Ben
