11/14/2012 0 Comments Long ServiceThe last week or so we have been recognising students who have given of themselves while at the College.
One thing we have always noted about our old boys is the way involve themselves in the communities they end up living in, so it was good to see old boy Peter McDonald being recognised in today's Daily News for his work with Hospice Taranaki. Peter is completing his sixth year as chairman of Hospice Taranaki and has been made a life member in recognition of all his work for the organisation. A great example of those many old boys who go on to live the dictum of Faith, Service and Community.

11/9/2012 0 Comments The 2012 GraduatesThe Senior Prizegiving 2012 has been and gone and a glittering affair it was. The students looked very smart and did all the right things at the right times and we managed to keep this special occasion to under 2 hours, which is always appreciated. It was great to have Brothers Declan, Colin Griffin and Jack Iremonger with us for the event.
More details on who got what next week. 11/7/2012 0 Comments A Time To GraduateTomorrow is the graduation day for the 2012 Year 13 class. The format of a full graduation was started under Br Geoff Kennewell's watch as Senior Dean and has developed over the years. The 2012 class will be about three times larger than the 1992 version (above) but the sentiments, and relief, will be pretty much the same.

11/2/2012 1 Comment More AchievementA quick note today to recognise several achievements by recent old boys.
Aniket Mehendale, who graduated from FDMC in 2010 has been accepted into the Sydney Medical School of Research Scholarship Programme. A feather in his cap and a great step towards making a difference in his chosen field. On a different field, we hear that old boys from last year, Scott Barrett and Teihorangi Walden, have both made it into the NZ U20 rugby training squad. We know they will be working hard to make the team that goes on to play in the annual Under 20 World Cup. If you know of other old boys doing great things please drop us an email - old boys news. 11/1/2012 0 Comments Colour Me ProudLast Friday saw our last Colours Awards Ceremony of the year.
