11/13/2013 0 Comments A Digital PastWe recently stumbled upon a web site called Digital NZ and a search of their database threw up a number of photos from the past for FDMC, some of which we have not seen before. We would love to put names to these young card sharks - any ideas?

11/11/2013 0 Comments A Five-peatThe 1st XI cricket team have had a tough start to their 2013-14 season with little success in the Taranaki Premier Men's Competition. That was until last week end, where the old College rivalry brought out the best in the team and they were able to defeat NPBHS 1st XI in their first meeting of the year. It was a great result made more remarkable by the fact it is the fifth time in a row that FDMC have had the upper hand over their cross town foes.
Cricket has been a sport that has embraced modern technology in a big way. The scoring for the 1st XI games is done digitally and people any where can follow the games progress ball by ball through CricHQ. Saturday's scorcard can be viewed on the site at this link. So if in the future you have a quiet hour on a Saturday afternoon you can visit FDMC on CricHQ to see how the team is going. 11/8/2013 0 Comments The Next ChallengePictured above are this year's leaders issuing a challenge to their successors. Loose ends are being tied up and scores are being tallied. Last year's Y13 class donated a house points board to the College, which now tells the tale of this year's competition. There is a certain similarity to the result but next year is a new chance for others to over take the Red Mence

The photo below is from a different era of traveling rugby players. This is the 1997 1st XV pictured in Te Kuiti as they have almost reached home after their tour to San Francisco and Vancouver. You can see from the dress standard that it had been a long journey. 11/1/2013 0 Comments On PromotionNews this week that our Deputy Principal of the last 10 years, Chris Moller, has been appointed as the Headmaster of Wanganui Collegiate.
