12/3/2012 0 Comments Going Downhill - Fast An old boy Finlay Neeson (19) has finally reached his goal by being selected for the Junior World Championships in Quebec (Canada) and the World Championships in Schladming (Austria).
Some of the highlights of his career have included being K2 national champion, finishing top 15 in Whistler Cup (K2 world event), being a National Junior Title holder, being Francis Douglas Memorial College Sportsman of the year, Selected for World Junior Champs in 2012/13 winning Taranaki Young Achievers Sports Award, being ranked top 8 in the USA for his age group. At present he is training and racing in Colorado USA. Last week he placed 4th in the qualifiers for the NOR-AM circuit. You can follow his progress on www.finlayneeson.com He is trying to raise $10,000 for his training and travel to the World events. Although he was selected for the Junior World Champs he did not attend these because of the lack of funds.
