4/26/2013 0 Comments The Production Line ContinuesGreat news this week that two more of our old boys have taken a significant step on the professional rugby ladder. Both Scott Barrett (lock) and Teihorangi Walden (midfield) have been named in the NZ Under 20 rugby team to compete in the IRB Junior World Championship in France this June.
Scott is currently at university in Canterbury while Teihorangi is attending Otago Uni, so they are bright as well as athletic, which is of course an FDMC trait. It must also be noted that both players are also sons of FDMC old boys, although this might just be a coincidence!? It is heartening to see that FDMC students continue to achieve at the highest level which is a testament to the effectiveness of a rugby programme that does not focus on "imported" players.
