3/13/2014 1 Comment Welcome HomeSome of you may have seen the news item on TV about the return home of HMNZS Te Mana. Thanks to Harvey Tutauha for the photo and comments below. Great to see another old boy out there doing his bit. I thought the college would be interested in one of their ex-pupils who is now serving in the Royal New Zealand Navy, and today returned to NZ soil from a stint away on HMNZS TE MANA, doing Piracy Patrols in the Indian Ocean. His name is Crighton Rangiwananga, as for myself, I did a similar tour in the Indian Ocean in 1982 during the Falkland Island Conflict. I proud of this young man, not because his great-grand-father and my father are brothers, but to see a young man from the NAKI do well.

Yup we are very proud of our son - he has now been in the navy for four years and is loving it - seen a lot of the world already!
