Scott McGregor acquitted himself very well in the World Age Group Championships in Auckland last weekend.
Scott finished second in the men's 30-34 years division which is a pretty impressive result. The following quote from the Daily News suggests he wasn't lacking in support:
"Mum and Dad [Oakura's Robyn and Rob McGregor] came up and there were plenty of people yelling out," the former Francis Douglas Memorial College pupil said.
"All that training paid off, I felt pretty good the whole way. The swim went well and I came out about 10 metres behind the main bunch. I had a fast transition, hammered it out on the bike and felt good on the run."
We have great admiration for any one who feels good after a run!
