Today saw not only the start of a new year at FDMC but also the beginning of a tradition. For the first time we started with a Powhiri welcoming all new students/parents and staff to the College.
The new boys looked a little over awed to begin with but we know from past experience it will not take long before they think they are running the show!
After many years of students and cars sharing the same entrance to the College, this year's students will be coming and going on foot along a whole new pathway. The new path loops around the Brothers residence and past the College Chapel.
Now all we need to do is train the old hands to use the new way!
Great photo in today's Daily News of staff member Peter Imgram's young boys. Jamie and Tommy were caught proudly displaying their versions of Dad's facial adornments.
A great day for the Ingram family as Peter shared in the world record opening T20 partnership with Jamie How at Pukekura Park. We suspect it won't be long before these two likely lads are creating more headlines of their own.
We have added a new page to our site - the Registered Old Boys page. Have a look at who is listed - it is good to see a few from most years. The challenge is now to get a lot more of you on the list.
We have not published the email address of the registered old boys but if you want to make contact with an old mate you can email us for details.
