10/31/2015 0 Comments The Beginning Of The EndTomorrow is the Senior Prizegiving, marking the end of the year for regular senior classes, and man that came round quick! Pictured above are the prize getters undertaking their first practice for the big event. Every year there seems to be more students getting a prize - time to build a bigger gym!

10/22/2015 0 Comments Good One GrunterGood to see old boy and past Head Boy Grant Maclean getting some TV face time over the end of the drilling phase of Auckland's newest hole in the ground. You can view the video and article from TV3 here.
10/20/2015 0 Comments The Demolition BeginsThe main classroom block will never be the same. With earthquake strengthening and classroom redesign the now a reality demolition has begun on the bottom corridor of the main classroom block. Room 1 is seen here looking worse for wear and we will continue to keep people posted with photos of the changes as they occur.
10/16/2015 0 Comments Two Sad LossesWe note with sadness the loss of two members of the FDMC community this week. An old boy from the early years, John Schicker's funeral took place yesterday. Des Manning was not an old boy but both his son's Jacob and Joseph attended the college in more recent times and he was an active supporter of the College, including serving on the PTA. Des passed away in Australia but there is a service of remembrance for him at the Stratford RSA at 7 o'clock this evening. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen. 10/15/2015 0 Comments Tasty TreatsIf you are one of those old boys who has not strayed to far from Westown, or you are back paying a visit, we can strongly recommend the Little Fed Cafe in Westown as a place to stop for a bite and a sup. Old Boy Jeremy Webling has been running the establishment for a couple of months and still has that smile on his face. We include the Lunch Menu (see right) for your perusal.
For those with an historical bent the building Little Fed operates from used to be Cafe Blues which was set up by another old boy Tane Morgan. 10/13/2015 0 Comments Old Boy BuildersA dashing photo of old boy Jackson Carrington in today's Daily News. Jackson is in the middle of his latest project building inner city homes on Powderham Street. He and the wider family are very much a part of changing the face of New Plymouth.
In related building news we hear a rumour that Jeremy Hill and partner Kat are about to get some more FDMC support on The Block. Seems that old boy Josh Shanley may be a late building addition to the team - two old boys must be better than one! 10/8/2015 0 Comments Family ConnectionsWith our newest priest Father Patrick Bradford saying a mass in the chapel on the last day of Term 3 it was a time to celebrate his recent ordination. It was also a chance for him to catch up with some family. Pictured with Fr Patrick are his cousin Eliah Bradford (left) and his nephew Joseph Bernet (right).
10/5/2015 0 Comments Off The WallPola Kirifi our latest thespian has spent the last week in rehearsal with the National Shakespeare Schools Production. He played the role of Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing last night and although we haven't read the reviews we are sure he aced it and hope it will be enough to get him that trip to the Globe.
