1/30/2017 0 Comments International Reps!FDMC Rugby League now has international players!
The best junior league players from 6 Pacific nations were selected to play for their country in the inaugural Pasifika Youth Cup held in Auckland last week. Two of our boys, Jacob Ratumaitavuki-Kneepkens and Mairenga Laapo, were selected to play for the Fiji Under 16’s. And play they did! It was exciting to see both boys run in stunning tries, at times combining to put each other in position to score.Jacob also slotted most of the conversions to help Fiji win pool A. The three days of competition were well organised with a positive atmosphere of friendship amidst the passionate rivalry. The final flourish for FDMC Rugby League was Jacob being named in the Tournament team. Congratulations to both boys.

1/24/2017 0 Comments Repurposing The HillThe face of the College is changing with the recent sale and redevelopment of the front paddock known to most old boys as The Hill. The land has been owned by the De La Salle Brothers of New Zealand and it has been deemed necessary to capitalise on that asset. Keeping it in the FDMC family, the land was brought by old boy Mike Childs and his development company, will be marketed by old boys McDonalds Real Estate and the initial ground works are being done by Whittaker's which is co-owned by old boy Graeme Dravitzki.
It will be interesting to see how many old boys will end up buying a section knowing they will no longer have to "run the hill". 1/9/2017 0 Comments Happy Birthday Brother Julian
