6/28/2013 0 Comments Back For Some MoreWe welcomed to the staffroom today recent old boy Scot Crocker, pictured above. Scot is finishing his degree at Otago University and thinking about taking up teaching, so he has wisely decided to spend a couple of days at the chalk face to see if it is for him.

6/26/2013 0 Comments Good Results In The CapitalThe results have just come through from today's sports exchange with St Bernard's in the Hutt Valley. They read as
1st XV - 49 to 3 win Senior A Basketball - 61 to 32 win 1st XI Football - 5 to 2 loss So at least 2/3rds of the bus will be happy on the way home this evening. 6/25/2013 0 Comments Photo From The BirthdayWe have just got our hands on this photo from Brother Oliver's 100th. Pictured are all the Kiwi Brothers in attendance - Br Adrian, Br Jack, Br Will, Br Pat, Br Steve, Br David and, of course, Br Oliver. All these fine gentlemen have done significant "time" at FDMC and it was great that they could be there for the great occasion.
6/24/2013 0 Comments Back For A VisitPast Principal Br Peter Ryan is in town for the first few days of this week and is busy catching up with lots of people, including a few old boys. Br Peter is currently the Principal at Oakhill College in Sydney and it is his first trip back to NP since the 50th Jubilee. If you se him around be sure to stop and say hello.
6/21/2013 0 Comments Winter, What Winter? After days of short lunch hors and closed sports fields the weather gods relented this morning and blessed us with a vista of the snow covered ranges. No wonder it is now so damn cold!
For those of you in the "warmth" of a Northern Hemisphere be grateful that you can see but not feel this vision. 6/20/2013 0 Comments Treading The Boards![]() Great article in the Daily News this week on old boy Martin Quicke - click here. Martin is living his dream of being a professional actor and will be back in Taranaki this month doing his thing. Currently based in Wellington we will keep our eyes peeled for more appearances on stage and screen. 6/19/2013 0 Comments A Couple Of VisitorsHaving been given the day off from training it was good of Conrad and Beaudy to pop up to their old school and say hello. Having spent morning tea with the staff they did an impromptu classroom tour with Acting Principal Chris Moller which was greatly enjoyed by the students.
Tomorrow it is back to the grindstone for the two but they can be assured there will be plenty of support on the sidelines come Saturday, no matter what numbers they have on their backs. 6/18/2013 0 Comments The Passing Of An Old BoySad news in this morning in the Daily News with the notice of old boy Claude Wuest's death. Claude was at the college in the 1980's and left us at the far to young an age of 44 years. He has been farming in Winton.
Please keep Claude and his family in your thoughts and prayers. 6/17/2013 0 Comments An FDMC ScoreConrad Smith was probably not the only one who was out there celebrating Beauden Barret's first try for the All Blacks (there would have high fives in many sitting rooms across the country) but it was great that another FDMC old boy was the first there to congratulate him.
6/14/2013 0 Comments From The ArchivesThis photo is from the archives and has only the title "First SC Class" on the back. We assume it is the first group of Fifth Formers to take on the might of the School Certificate exam but would appreciate further details from any one who may recall that far back.
