8/8/2015 0 Comments The Last GameThe 1st XV's semi final loss to St Paul's Hamilton on Saturday brings to an end the 2015 season. The boys played bravely against a very talented side in fairly trying conditions with the final score blowing out to 30 to 9 with a couple of late tries.
Pictured above are the 1st XV members who will not be back next year. Thanks guys for your efforts on and off the field. We will be watching your future progress closely.

8/5/2015 0 Comments The Next GenerationPictured above are staff members Lana and James Rowlands with Harper May, the latest addition to our college community. Not to be out done staff member Charl Van Der Heever and his wife Rachel are also celebrating the arrival of a new born son - no pic or name as yet available. We wish both parties well in the joys of parenting that lie ahead.
8/5/2015 0 Comments Science PowerThe Taranaki Science Fair has been an institution on the school programme for many years and an event in which FDMC has always excelled. Today's Daily News has a good article (read here) on this years event where once again our students, including Corban Church pictured above, have stood out. Would be interesting to see who has had the best steam car over the last couple of decades.
8/2/2015 0 Comments Where are they now?We came across this photo in tour through our new archive files. With out even looking hard we can spot a future priest, a Rhodes Scholar, a professional rugby player, several provincial cricketers, some academic wizz kids, an Super 15 ref and any number of sons of the soil. It is always fascinating to see how students go on to have an impact on their world.
8/1/2015 0 Comments That Winter FeelingThere is a tendency to think that every winter is colder and wetter than the last, especially in the dark times of June and July. This year it has certainly been wet but the article from our archives (circa 2009) reminds us that it has been worse, and that hockey players are pretty tough.
