9/9/2015 0 Comments Another Old Boy BookWe note on Facebook that another of our old boys has published a book recently. Brian Beer was a stalwart of the Taranaki cricket scene and a fearsome fast bowler in his day. He has recently released a history of the New Plymouth Old Boys' Cricket Club, and while the larger part of our local old boys end up playing at Marist there have been a number of FDMC characters who have played a part in the NPOB story. Past staff member Lloyd Edwards is a good case in point. The following are a few more details for those who might be interested. After 4 years of research, writing and editting it is finally here...

9/4/2015 0 Comments And Now....?!The article above is from the early 1980's. If the old boys thought there had been a few changes to the College in the first 25 years they would be amazed at how much more has happened since. If you are an old boy who hasn't been back for decades you are always welcome to pop in and see how things have changed.

I’m working for McConnell Dowell constructing the tunnels, and Bourkey (Simon Bourke) is sub-contracting with his own company Ground Fix to do some ground support work for us. Here we are underground behind the 14m high Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) (not much smaller than the main class room block at FDMC).
